That's right, It's Britney. Saw her in Vegas with my partner last night. Total last minute tickets. We were in row P, paid about $100. Definitely a lot of lip syncing going on, not a lot of artist/audience interaction, so it seemed very staged and she seemed distant from the audience. Those in the pit didn't really seem to be doing anything crazy other than standing there.
After 3 Southern Comfort and Sprites, 1/2 bottle of pinot grigio, a glass at the theater, and Voco (vodka and coconut water), I became quite the philosopher (I was not drunk - I hold my alcohol well,) but at that point I'm loose enough to let my realizations flow...
Britney's songs are like my life story. I relate to Britney so well. We all have those naive moments (I'm Not A Girl... Not Yet A Woman), Sometimes we love, sometimes we hide (Sometimes), when we try to leave our parents and become (Overprotected), and I'm not perfect and sometimes repeat things I shouldn't do (Oops I did it Again!). Then when I hit 21 I was suddenly Toxic. And that's about the time I came out, and in the gay world, You Better Work Bitch, and maybe I had some of those in the bedroom "I'm A Slave For You" moments. And we all have those moments where "I Wanna Go" all the way tonight, and I'll keep dancing or working "Until the World Ends." And life's experiences make me "Stronger" than yesterday.
Pics to come.

Bits of news
That new iPhone is sexy. Damn sexy. I want a 5.5'' because I'm a size queen. That's on my to buy list this month.
So is the watch. I have missed reports on the battery/charging for that.
I tried to watch the address, but I ended up having to go to work.
In other news, Mike's best friend had been visiting for the past week. They went on a cruise this past weekend. I went to visit my cousin in SD with my mom. We had a blast. Wish we were closer distance wise. Took a few ussies to commemorate the occasion. Back to his friend. Had fun seeing Mike's best friend as she's the opposite of Mike in many ways, and feels sorry for the way he torments... haha... or things he does. It's not bad... like he'll poke my leg when we drive, or he'll pull the hair on my leg to be funny. He tried to do that to her. I react, which makes it amusing.
Need a weekend getaway STAT.
Also need to do brunch/hang out with my former coworkers. Miss them like crazy.
Work has been crazy because of a coworker making drama and internalizing everything. Some people need to get over themselves. I am keeping my distance, but it has caused me to have to recreate my entire course.
I'm on a folksy/oldies kick lately. Here's what I'm listening to at the moment:
Eric Burdon has a SoCal hangout I want to go back and visit - kind of a weird bar in the middle of nowhere. Visited on a random road trip one weekend. Its outside of 29 Palms.

Cheesy Photos
The clerk at my old school is raising money for her son to go on a trip to DC with his school next year. She is a pro photographer, and has a special of 5 shots, which equates to a 20 minute session for $30. I took her up on the offer since I have wanted some good photos of Mike and I together, plus it is for a great cause. Mike hates taking photos, gave me looks, and snide comments the entire way. Once we got to the site where we were taking the photos, he was fine. We got the photos back today, and they look great.

3s the charm
Finally met up with our friends J and B. We haven't seen them since November or so. Lots got in the way. The first time B had been sick, the second time something else happened, and the 3rd time was 2 weekends ago when Mike was in bed sick all weekend with some stomach virus. It almost became a 3rd time we had to reschedule when J's grandma died Thursday. She was 101.
We chatted last weekend and bought groupon tickets to an Angels game.
Met up at their house about 4pm yesterday. Showed off Mike's new car. Mike got a new Chevy Volt. It is the coolest thing. Seriously. We drove to the game in it, and parked at the brewery right by the stadium. We had a couple beers, then meandered to the stadiuM. I sat next to B about half of the game, talking about work and other random stuff. Then we got up halfway through the game and found new seats where we could better see the fireworks. J and I sat spotting cute guys and determining whether they were straight or not. Angels won. Fireworks after the show were awesome. As we were walking back to the car we found a baby kitten that we were trying to rescue - he was nowhere near his mommy and seemed all alone. Scared little thing, though. So we were off to Yogurtland for some treats.
Good night overall... glad we got to get together
Other happenings- we put one of our cats down this week. He had kidney disease, which basically there's no recovery from unless she was going to have constant injections and something equivalent to dialysis.
Had breakfast with my dad this week now that I work nights.
Hung out with E from my old school, and her husband, Mike. We went to a brewery on Friday night, which was really good. They had a food truck too,w which was so-so. Asian fusion.
Our patio is done. We have had a patio cover put in that is about a quarter the size of the house - it is half enclosed and half open. Been buying stuff for it. We are out on the patio right now enjoying it.

My thoughts and likes and recent travels
Need to get back into the blogging habit. I find it so therapeutic.
2 weeks ago we spent a great weekend in San Clemente, which is a newfound love. Great food and Fun people. Spent about 4 hours in a bar with a sassy latina bartender. Viva Columbia. Good wine too.
Last weekend we hung out with J&B at a fish restaurant we like. Caught up on family and happenings in our lives. Fun times. Went to a brewery attached to a pizza place after.
Spent this past week in NY - my first Thaksgiving away from my family. I missed seeing them since I haven't seen the majority of them since Easter, but it was good. Here's how the week unfolded:
- Spent Sunday night in LAX hotel with crunchy sheets. Got no sleep.
- Monday morning we had a nice 1st class flight to ORD and then onto Philly. Took forever to deice plane. Wanted to go see Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, as well as Poe's house, but didn't get the chance. Went to Atlantic City instead where I wasn't paying attention and was making $10 bets on video blackjack, and made over $100. Yay.
- Tuesday we visited Mike's family. Went to dinner with his parents at a Chinese restaurant where I had the most amazing grand mariner shrimp.
- Wednesday we went to NYC where we hung out with K, Mike's friend from Kindergarten on. We checked out her new studio apt and then went bar hopping in her neighborhood. We happened upon the most amazing restaurant there with shoestring fries and fish and good mashed potatoes. We will go there again. Also went to the Stonewall Bar where we found some really friendly people. Also met a hairstylist who was giving everyone pointers. Good times. Went and saw the balloons too. Stayed at Hilton in Fashion District.
- Thursday we got up about 7:15 and dressed. We got dressed and met up with K again. Drove uptown to a parking garage to go to our caviar restaurant/benedict restaurant. After, we went and watched the parade. Saw the pikachu, doughboy, and buzz lightyear balloons before heading out. So fun. Drove to Jersey and chatted with Mike's bros and parents as Thanksgiving dinner was being prepared. Did a little browsing online too. Watched TV and the games on.
- Friday we were up early. We were upgraded to 1st class again for our jaunt to LA.
- Weather throughout the trip was nice - cold, windy, and in the 30s. Wish it were a little colder. Snow would be nice too.
We are going back to NY next month, and I can't wait.
Christmas season is here. I have a strange obsession recently with my last name - those of you who know understand - it is unique, and well, I'm on a search for anything related to my last name. Have come across some good knick knacks for my classroom and for Christmas related to it.
My other big Christmas wants this year include a massage, pedicure, any Vans casuals shoes size 12, a small brown leather jacket that is collarless, a pair of any color of Nike Airs in size 13.
I'm thinking I want to propose to my man near the end of this year.
Work has been ok - we will talk about that later.
Anyone tried vaping? That seems to be the new thing, and well, for shits and giggles I tried it. It's so so.
My parents have 2 new dogs. 1 of them got lost and they got a replacement. Both are interesting. Both are house dogs now, but need to go out.

Weekend getaways
Nearly every weekend between the past 3 and Christmas is booked. So thrilled. Loving it. It is really what is keeping me sane, besides a partner who will listen to me bitch about work, and everything else
Weekend before last was Laguna, which we had mussels at one of our favorite restaurants, then enjoyed wine and a fire in our hotel suite.
Saturday morning we ventured to Phoenix/Tempe/Tucson. Good times. We had nothing but amazing food all weekend. It was relaxing. Was great weather too. Bought lots of good stuff. Making fun of the BF and him making fun of me. Good times.
Next weekend is the all night Knotts Field Trip, and the beach again.
The following weekend we are hanging with our friends J&B, and the weekend after that is a shopping weekend.
Hopefully going to hang out with The Guy Friday. I need to see a friend. Hanging out with my former boss Thursday. Can't wait for either.
Bought a Macbook Air the other day. I had a very old 2007 Mac that I traded in. So far it is hard to get used to the small keyboard.
Songs I am listening to, and you should be too:
Need a massage badly ASAP. My hands have been knotting up lately, and it is hard to make a fist. I got a massage last month, and the therapist only focused on my hands, and it took like an hour to get the knots out. I got a massage last Wednesday, and same situation, she spent the majority of the time on my hands. I have no clue what's going on - i am not really doing anything different, or using my hands in new ways. Therapist on Wednesday said it is possibly knots in my tendons in my elbow, which I never heard of such a thing. Oh well... massage ASAP.
Disappointed I don't have tickets to see George Strait's farewell tour.
Wanting something fun to do for my birthday coming up.

Work……………………...
Hi guys…
Stream of thoughts… here we go…
Work sucks. I'm tired of being cussed out on a daily basis. Fuck you, stupid ass idiot, whatever, why the fuck can I not send the kids out on a referral? Why am I supposed to take that? Why when I send them out for that, you tell me I don't have control?
Why, when 80% of my kids have a D or F in 1 class it is my fault? I am teaching at grade level. I have a bunch of lazy kids, and I'm supposed to pass them? Laziness is not getting the kids anywhere. They need to see they're going to flunk, and hopefully be held back like the principal says. I can't in good conscience pass the kids for doing nothing. We hear it nonstop from the high school that the kids wonder why they can't succeed in high school when middle school they didn't have to do anything. My kids are going to work their little selves to get the grades they deserve. I don't baby.
Why do I have to have such crazy kids? No joke. I have 1 kid who has called in threats about the school, another who has been suspended 30 days this year, another who cusses me out, and then goes and punches the wall, one who thinks he is a dog and crawls on the floor and tries to pee act like he is peeing like a male dog, and barks randomly in class, or the kid who steals and doesn't know he is doing it (forget the name for that). All of these kids have been suspended at least 15 days, and due to district bureaucracy get to stay in the class and disrupt others. Kids like these need to be in a more restrained environment where they can't hurt 30 other students.
I did have a pretty good evaluation last week despite most of those crazies I mentioned above being present in class. The other 20 kids did a pretty good job ignoring them.
The students like A, K, R, M, and a few others do remind me that I am there to teach, and make my day better.
I've been so busy at work I haven't seen family.
I have had 2 great weekends, and am looking great to another. Spent last weekend along the beach, and the weekend before that in wine country with my man.
Took the test to be able to teach Espanol, and think I aced it. Hopefully it increases my chances of getting to high school….

Weekend Timeshare
Some friends let us use their timeshare in the desert last weekend, which was great. We left about 4pm Friday, went to the timeshare, then to our favorite pizza place in the desert. We went to the grocery store for goodies and breakfast items, then relaxed on the patio. Loved it. Perfect temp.
Saturday we were out and about shopping, and well, we found a car. My partner had been wanting a nice used car, he found a nice, but EXTREMELY high mileage used car we ended up buying. It's a Bimmer. At least I'll get to drive it sometimes, and it really was well kept.
Saturday night we went to the fish taco place that now had a location in our hotel, then went back to the room, sat on the patio, and then had a bath together with a bottle of wine, that was oh so romantic. LOVED IT. Slept amazingly well.
Sunday was relaxing, lesson planned, watched TV, and headed home. More amazing romance that night.

Liquid Weekend
Jetted out of work to get to happy hour last Wed. w/ coworkers. What crazies I work with. 3 jack and cokes, a shot of Jaeger, and many hugs with the special ed teacher and queeny English teacher.
Off to dinner and a glass of chardonnay. Dinner at Truxtons. Then off to LAX.
Arrive in Jersey at 7am, head to my partner's parent's house. Take his mom and we go to New Hope Penn. Fun times. Fetish stores. Eclectic crowd. Up to Trenton NJ, then to our hotel. We meet his parents at a restaurant for dinner and several more drinks at the town bar.
Friday funday. Visit crayola factory with Mike's best friend. A couple drinks at bar across street. Made it a double since it really didn't taste like whiskey and coke. Lesson learned, you cannot buy well drinks. Dinner and drinks. Drinks after dinner at the bar by her house - cider beer this time.
Saturday was loco. We drove to NYC. Went to Central Park and a pub nearby for lunch. Went shopping at my favorite store, Century 21, where I bought several ties for work. Por trabajo. Then we went back to the room to get ready for the night. Drink in bar. His friend Kat has some friends we met at Christmas, and we met up with them nearby our hotel at a bar. 2 cosmos for me. Then we go back to get Mike's best friend, and off to a Mexican place for 2 margaritas to add to the night. Off to an Italian place for real dinner and then to Flaming Saddles for line dancing and drinks. Whiskey and coke, then off to Posh for another 2 drinks, and about that time the shirt started coming off. I was shirtless by the time we left, and Mike was so toasted he was touching everyone and flirting big time. A straight bar for a little dance, then a diner for dessert.
Sunday was sleeping in late and heading to the airport. Got lots of planning done on the way home for work. Woo.

The Ring
Here it is. I tried posting it last time and guess it didn't work out. And we have matching ones.
In other news, hung out with The Guy and his partner the other day. He talked about how we need to at least have something to commemorate our domestic partnership as it is a way to affirm it in front of friends. I'm going to bring it up to my guy as I think it would be fun, but he's very low key. Maybe a neutral point? We were trying to think of our friends...
The Guy and Rob
Jack Off Buddy and his guy
J & B
Mike's coworker
Gonzo
Darla
Mike's cousin and aunt?
My cousin(s)/aunt/uncle - 1 to 6 of them
Parents?
My sissy from work
We had a nice dinner The Guy and I ran to Trader Joes to make. Chatted about everything and anything with him and his man.
Also hung out with my cousin that I'm closest with and another more distant cousin, Marquel, whom I've never mentioned before. He's like 3 years younger and we never really chatted until the past couple of years. He was so interesting. He said he knew I was gay all along, we chatted about that, he asked what it was like, what it was like not being attracted to girls, whether I found girls hot at all, and he's just one of those really interested people who tries to hear everyone's opinions and thoughts. Sex came up. He recently had his first time with his girlfriend. He thinks I'm one of those been there, done that types. Talked about family, friends, and school. Lots more too.

Put a ring on it
If you like it, then you should put a ring on it, and that's what he did today.
And I'm happier than Beyonce could be.
I knew it was coming. In typical fashion, he was intrigued by the ring I'd been wearing, then asked me my size the other day when he was shopping on Kohl's website, and then this morning as he was prepping for the day and I was grabbing breakfast he put a ring on it and told me it was mine.
And tomorrow we will officially be domestic partners.

No Domestic Partnership or Wedding - for now
Let me explain. We had happy hour celebrating my finally being off for Spring Break at the fish restaurant. While there we talked to the bartender whose brother is gay and having his gay wedding. We discussed how one day we will do that, but not now. He emphasized one day. I asked him about that later, and he said it was because he had debt. He said that he didn't want me to be burdened by his debt if something were to happen, and having a DP makes me responsible for his debts now. He would rather us both enter into a partnership without debts. And I'm ok with that. I dislike debt. And we're still committed and happy with one another.

On the wedding
In my last post I mentioned that the word marriage came up. It came up again this week. We were watching Say Yes To The Dress last night and talking about gay guys and our wedding. He said we were going to wear khakis and white shirts since we were going to be on a cruise ship. I said nope, we were wearing suits and tuxes. He said if I do a tux I have to do a bow tie. He told me how guys can rock bow ties and they are so unusual. I protested saying they were ugly. He said he would wear the bow tie then. I told him I needed to see him in it. I said we should do the whole matchy-match look, and he didn't say anything. Then I said something about bowties being never in, and he said they are next season, but they're making their way around on the fashion circuit right now. I asked if that meant the wedding was happening soon, and he said no, it is a while away... lol

A month long of being gone
Past month or so has still been crazy... here's what's been going on
We discussed a wedding - a cruise ship wedding - of course when it becomes legal and all - and he was the one who brought it up. It was brought up of course at the same restaurant he asked me to move in, our Mexican restaurant, over margaritas
We haven't really been traveling since his new role at work has him not traveling as much, hence not receiving miles and other travel perks
Work has been tough. The college fair I am planning is nearly here. Contacting vendors, colleges, doing PR, and teaching has been crazy. My kids projects are nearly done.
I learned at work I am an administrative transfer for next year because my school is losing 14 teachers due to declining enrollment. Who knows where I will end up and what I will be teaching...
I've spent the month applying for jobs outside of the education arena, and had 1 interview I have yet to hear anything about. It would be my non-education field dream job
Car problems have plagued me this month - in particular routine maintenance - coolant and transmission fluid replacement, was hit by a flying piece of metal that damaged my hubcap and steel rim on my car, so have the dumb donut tire on my car right now and am waiting for the steel rim to be delivered to the dealer. That's the 2nd time I have had to replace a rim on the car. FML. I've spent close to $500 in car repairs this month.
Wanting to travel. SOON.

The Big NYC
I'm home, guys!
Oh how I miss the big city when I'm not there, and how it feels so weird to know that the city is still moving even though you aren't there. We hit the city in full force.
Tuesday -
Arrived about 5:30, checked in, then hit the city in full force. Was emailing DaninOKC back and forth to try to meet, but he had plans, and we were hungry, so I found a turkish restaurant. The people smelled Mike thought, so we went to a Thai place. Went back to the hotel and watered ourselves at the hotel.
Wednesday -
Mike had breakfast planned with his friend Kat, and I made plans to meet with DaninOKC. Got on the train and headed down to Times Square, then over to Penn Station area. Finally, the 2 of us met on a street corner and made our way to Penn Station so I could nibble on food. We talked a lot about work stuff, heard about each other's adventures, and more. Wished I could have introduced him to Mike so he could give a critique ;-). Glad we got to meet up again after all these years. Here's to meeting again, but not with so many years in between!
Found the BF back at a cafe where his friend had just left. We walked to Central Park and up on the upper east side. Spent the afternoon in Times Square getting tickets for broadway. We saw WarHoarse at Linkin Center. Had a lot of fun beforehand doing some shopping uptown at Century 21 stocking up on ties, before heading to dinner at a Tapas/wine bar. We drank a bottle, then headed to Linkin Center to the expensive restaurant there for a drink - we liked the bar atmosphere as it wasn't pretentious and it was classy. WarHoarse was amazing. The plot was very thin and weak in my opinion, but what redeemed it was the mechanics and choreography with the horses. Back to the hotel for another drink, a toffee Christmasy thingy.
Thursday -
Up and off to SOHO. HAD SOOO MUCH FUN!!! Loved SOHO. Had breakfast at a french bistro. My new favorite store there is Fish and Eddys. Shopped 5th Avenue and went to Uniqlo where I bought a scarf, then a couple of universities for postcards etc. for my classroom. Headed uptown to the hotel and to get prepped to meet up with friends of Mike's who he was reconnecting with. Met them at our hotel, went to Therapy, the gay bar, for a therapy session where we got to know each other better. Walked down to a Thai place in Hell's Kitchen. Back to the hotel for a drink.
Friday -

Up and ventured to Brooklyn, but turned around when we didn't like the area the train dropped us off in. Went back to Manhattan, found a Russian restaurant, and enjoyed some of Mike's favorite dishes. We walked up to Linkin Center area again for Century 21 and a few other areas. Met up with his friend Kat again for dinner with her 2 friends Mike had met at Thanksgiving. We went to Ching's, the drag queen, show place, for so-so food, and the big bowls of drinks that you all share. We downed 3 between the 5 of us. First time ever for me doing one of those big punch bowl drink things. After, I was insistent we go to a country bar I found on Yelp. Her 2 friends were 2 latino guys who didn't like country, but they played along. We sat, talked, and swayed/danced to a little bit of the stuff.
Hate the song, but it was so funny watching a group of gay guys dance to this shaking their asses. The jukebox never played our song, "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?"
Found another bar down the street that was cash only, and we ended up being the center of attention as we danced to random stuff. Went to a diner down the street for breakfast/a smoothie.
Saturday -
Off to Jersey, got a car, then went to his parent's. Grabbed his mom and went to a polish deli. Got grub and then went back to their house. Went to the mall, then his favorite pizza place. Met up with his Friend LaR. DELICIOUS PIZZA. Went to a liquor store and then hotel. We all drank and ate cake in the hotel room. We settled into bed and at 1:50am the fire alarm starting ringing telling us to evacuate. We didn't see any smoke outside the window, so we got up, got dressed, packed up all of our electronic toys, and walked down the stairs. We get to the bottom when the alarm stops and we see a flood of people making their way out. We go back in and get undressed. LaR called us to say there were a few guys smoking MJ in a room down from us that sat off the alarm. Mike was livid at the hotel.
Sunday -
Up at 10, off to a Joisey breakfast, the pork roll thing, then off to the shore to check out what remained after Hurricane Sandy. In some areas, not a lot. We went back to Mike's house and his mom made perogis, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa, and more for LaR and I. YUM. Went to Lord & Taylor at the mall after. LOVE THAT STORE. Got a $225 blazer for $39. I'm gonna be styling at work.
Monday morning-
Up at 4:30, at the airport by 5, 6:00am flight riding first class, baby.
Merry Christmas, guys!!!

Family Drinking - Celebrating the Election
Got out of work Friday ASAP, but that meant meeting with my evaluator discussing my performance this year. I got C's on everything, which stands for adequate. We are graded on an A-F system, like our students, and C's is pretty much what everyone gets. If you have Ds or Fs you are put on an improvement plan. I was last year. The principal liked my lesson overall. I can only tell you of 2 teachers in total I know of who have ever received B or As in my school. Happy with that.
Got to my BF's house and he'd already picked up the rental car. We were off to start our ObamaNation weekend. We had a 3 hour drive, so I told my BF about everything on my mind, made some parent phone calls, and relaxed. We arrive at his cousin's house about 6pm along the coast where we are offered a pomegranate cosmo. Sat down and talked with his cousin and aunt. Such a great time. His aunt said how much she loves me, and I am family now. She talked about what a cute couple we are, and for 82, was a real hoot. This is probably my 5th or 6th time seeing her. She was so sweet. She said we argue like a married couple. His cousin cooked up some fish tacos and we had a bottle of wine to go with it. Mike ran to get pies and we had pie and port after dinner. We talk for a while. We excuse ourselves about 11 to go to our hotel. Arrive at the hotel and fall asleep cuddling. MMMMM
Woke up to the pretty rain outside and got up at 6am. Showered and picked up his cousin. We drove in the car for about 30 minutes before she got car sick, so stopped at rest stop, dashed to bathrooms in rain, switched seats, she sat in front, and I sat in the back on my phone playing Words with Friends.
Get to our hotel where our wine tour van is about to pick us up in Paso. Go to the first winery where we taste more than a dozen wines and toast to Obama. We have so much fun and get some great pics of us drinking the wines. We get back in the van and head to the next winery. The next winery was snooty and expensive, so they were stingy with wine, and the people were not pleasant. We didn't like the next one either. We were working up an appetite so we went to the next winery and picnicked outside where we were served some wine outside. Back on the bus it is nearly 3:30pm and we had a recommendation to go to a different winery, so we head there. The gal at the bar was sweet and very knowledgable. Got a delish dessert wine. My BF was ready to talk politics when we were toasting to Obama and made a conservative couple upset. A few things were said, and his cousin and I excused ourselves out to the buses and let my BF go at it... he came out feeling more confident than ever. We are about to head back to the hotel, but the smelly smoky cute guy and his lush gf were there with us, the girl thought Mike's cousin was her best friend, and babbling, and his cousin babbled back. We went into the winery with them for entertainment value. OMG. SO HILARIOUS. She was solving world problems and discussing fashion. Mike and I chat the british lady behind the bar. We bought some tast wine. We head to the hotel after.
Back at the hotel we nap - I nap in front of the heater in the hotel room - like when I was a kid. We get up a bit later and head to dinner. Walk to dinner at an amazing restaurant. I HAD THE MOST DELICIOUS risotto and pork. It was divine. We had great dinner convo about family, work, politics, propositions, and education, much like when I first started dating Mike. His cousin got to see just what I was telling her about Mike. It was tooo funny!!!
We go back to the hotel room for the night where we make love.
We get up Sunday morning and go to a huge antique shop, his cousin bought lots, then we head to a Hearst Castle. Took the tour, walked the grounds. His cousin was enamored by the place, and we are wanting to head back again soon, preferably before XMas. Stop at a beachfront restaurant for our first meal of the day - it was 3pm ish. We have some more wine and chat about doing another trip together soon.
I get to drive home and play some wonderful songs from XM radio. Mike's cousin and I belt out the following song:
Get back to her digs and drop off the wine, check out her new place, and then head home.
I wanted Coffee Bean on the way home and found the address on my phone - it was more than 30 blocks down a street in Ventura. Mike didn't believe me when I told him. He was mad I didn't "know" where it was, and told me to "learn to use my damn phone... not pay for a such expensive phone, learn to use the maps..." He was kinda mad, but it was funny, we don't really fight. LOL. We were best friends after I bought him a drink.
Once we got home we unpacked and relaxed. Off to bed since he had to get up early today. Spent the day around the house relaxing and went to physical therapy.
Spent the evening with the family...

Out on the town
Been out partying like a rockstar recently... here's a quick rundown
Villa Blanca
The place to be seen in Beverly Hills, Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant. Awful food, lots of fried food, but it was fun socializing with Mike's coworkers and the people of the company he was wining and dining the other day.
Sprinkles Cupcakes
Went the night of Villa Blanca and drove up last Monday night with my coworker, Sissy, to get some.
Dinner with The Guy and his BF
Met The Guy and Rob for dinner last Friday night. Great time. We took them to our favorite steakhouse, and they were impressed as they'd driven by it, but had no idea how good the food was. 5 glasses of wine, beef sparerib, and tons of appetizers. Great time chatting about Mac products, Samsung, work, and more.
Conference for the program I teach
Highlight of my week because I LOVE these conferences - the information presented is always soooo relevant and inspiring - and I don't say that often. Sissy and I got to hang and flirt. We had the others jealous of us.
Friday Night
Mike and I went out to the fish house we like for dinner, chatted with a hilarious Asian bartender, who it turns out lives right by my parents. She was a blast. Went to 2 new microbreweries and had some good beer. A little buzzed after, which made shopping in Marshalls and Target mucho fun.
Tonight
Dinner with J&B at the steakhouse, microbrewery tour part 2 tonight.

Lots of functions
Work functions have kept me busy.
Weekend before last I was chaperoning a football game. I missed out on a party with Mike, and J&B because we got home much later than anticipated.
Did get to see the space shuttle at like midnight in the middle of LA streets. Surreal.
Spent the past weekend in Laughlin, and will never go back. Old people. Bikers. Texans.
Booked every weekend between now and the end of the year including:
- Dinner with friends
- Home visits at school
- Tim and Faith weekend in Vegas
- Vegas con mi familia
- Wine tasting in NorCal
- Weekend in PS
Another work function in the desert
Doing a business dinner with Mike this week, where I get to be the poster-boyfriend

Offroading weekend
Tuesday
- After visiting with my mom and dad getting shots, we went to Olive Garden, and then headed home. Went to Mike's afterward to watch and meet with my kitty.
Wednesday
- Got home after work and hung out with my cat, relaxed, and did some chores around the house.
Thursday
- My bf made dinner and we hung out at home.
Friday
- I had a miserable day at work. I was mad at everyone and everything. I got home and bitched to Mike about the principal making an error on our pay - not submitting timecards on time and so we were not being paid for our extended day. I talked about the legalities/union issues to Mike who basically said we teachers need to just refuse to work and not follow the union. He said 60 teachers is stronger than the union, so we just release the kids and start teaching at the old time. Um... obviously he's never stood in front of 35 kidlets all at once like that... he'd understand why you wouldn't do that.
We go to a Modern Mexican restaurant I'd been wanting to try. I was texting my cousin, so invited her along, and she met us there. We chatted about her not having a car, her new job, working as a cocktail waitress, and religion. 3 margaritas and a glass of wine had me feeling pretty fly. Head home watching the moon and chatting...
Bed about 10:30.
Saturday
- Up about 8 and shower. He makes Ina's pancakes for breakfast. They were delicious. We started talking about things to do, and I suggested a trip up Hi-way 395. He changed his rental car to start during the weekend and we head to pick out a rental. We get a 2013 Tahoe, which was pretty nice, and needed. Head up the 395 and stop at Mt. Whitney Park; then Manzanar, the Japanese WWII internment camp; and then decided that we needed to find a hotel. Mike and I switched positions and I drove while he found a hotel. This was only his 2nd roadtrip where he never booked a hotel. We find a hotel in Mammoth, so I drive us there. We enjoy the nice 30-50 degree temps. We get the hotel, drive around, and then unpack at the hotel. We go out to the shuttle for dinner. Go up to the bluegrass festival and see no food places. End up going to an upscale chain restaurant. Mike and I get to talking to 2 older ladies in their 60s who were out drinking without their husbands. They had suggestions for us how to spend the day/night. We chatted about work with them since they were former teachers. By the end we were all hugging and saying our goodbyes. The food was delish- mussels, bread, crab cakes, and mas. We go to the bar at the hotel to see some women rockers. We discover we are the oldest there, so finish our wine quickly. Go back to the hotel where we tickle and I fall asleep in his arms.

Sunday
- Up about 7:45ish and we jack each other off. I coudln't get off. Damn anxiety meds. I am going to go get some new ones. I hate not being able to get off. I haven't gotten off in over a week. No more Prozac para mi. We go to the bakery for breakfast, then drive up to Mono Lake (2x the salt of the ocean). Then we go to Bishop for the Bristlecone Pine Forest. Beautiful drive up to nearly 11,500 feet. LOVED IT. Offroading. Dinner at a steakhouse where we chat about my sister and her car accident before I met Mike - somehow we got to talking about insurance. Mike wanted dessert. I wanted to go bowling. I overruled him and we went bowling. He won the first game like 105-75, then 104 for me and 88 for him. The final game he won too. Drank a pitcher of beer. Back to hotel for bed. Bed about 9.
Monday
- Up early for breakfast in hotel - cinnamon roll. Then off to Vons for nothing, then got gas, then Subway. Got sandwiches. Met the friendliest workers at this Subway - we really enjoyed it. Headed to Manzanar Concentration Camp again, then to a park we found that had another offroad path. We head home after this and arrive about 6 so I could do some lesson planning.
Tuesday
- Tough day at work. I was at work until 6p.m. Don't tell me teachers don't work.
