Feeling the oldies and old school today...
Suavecito- Malo
I guarantee you won't hear this song outside of LA or Texas on oldies radio.
Musical trivia: Did you know lead singer of Malo, Jorge Santana, is Carlos Santana's brother?
There's a Moon Out Tonight- The Capris
He's So Fine- The Chiffons
One Summer Night- The Danleers

Mike: How did you learn to appreciate these golden oldies? Are you sure you are only 22 years old? ;-)
fan of casey: I grew up on the oldies. My parents both like oldies, so I've always been around them. They still hold a special place in my heart and on my radio dial.
I work in a hispanic area, and hispanics really like oldies. That's why you can listen to Spanish stations (HOT 92.3 in LA) and you'll hear oldies in the mix. I can mention The Supremes, Shirelles, Danleers, Elvis, Richie Valens, Buddy Holly, y un gran numero de mis estudiantes (a majority of my kids) will know what I'm talking about.
Gonzo and Marci are also big oldies fans- both are also hispanic.
Mike: As you know I'm from Hawaii and while all the other kids here took asian foreign languages, I ended up taking 2 years of spanish because I didn't want to follow the crowd but I didn't have much chance to use it here and so I lost most of it thru lack of practice and use.
I too like older songs, I find some songs are timeless when they have a memorable melody, a catchy tune, or touching lyrics.
