More on Sally Kern
Click here to read the Morality Proclamation, watch the video on the story. Basically it is a list of all the things wrong with the country including homosexuality and how if we deal with these things, the economy will better, God is in control...

Wow....wow. There's nothing quite like being compared to "sex trafficking, divorce, illegitimate births, and child abuse..."
Is this woman insane? How can she in any good conscience compare such things? It's a sharp reminder that there are people there that not only don't support gay rights, but oppose them entirely.
I am with James on this one...all I can think to say is WOW!
I don't even know where to start with which parts of this I take great offense to:
1. Rep. Kern calls herself a Christian, and yet she is judging so many people in the world. As Christians, we are taught not to judge others, but to have compassion for others. She must have missed that sermon on a Sunday. (Maybe she is one of those "perfect" people who has never lied, cheated, stole, etc. Oh, wait, she is a politician! LOL)
2. We live in a country that claims every person in it has the right to religious freedom, whether you practice religion or not. Why, then, is Rep. Kern deciding that everyone in the state of Oklahoma be a practicing Christian? Does she really think that there are no Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, etc. living in her state?
3. How does being gay affect the national recession? Please explain that to me.
4. Is Rep. Kern so hard up for something to do that she actually has the time to create this issue? I am impressed that Oklahoma is in such a perfect state that there is nothing else for Rep. Kern to be concerned with.
5. Is she planning on running for some higher office in the near future, because all this sounds like is political posturing.

1. How did she get elected?
2. How is she still in office?
3. There are much more important issues to deal with, what about those? Of all things, seriously!
